USB-C to magsafe 3 cable
Today we’ll be tearing down the USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable, which you get in the box with Apple’s charger.
This is the first cable to support PD 3.1 — meaning it supports high power delivery.
This cable has a woven design, just like the standard cable that comes with the iMac. By the way, we also tore down the iMac cable – that’s also linked to in the corner above.
The MagSafe 3 connector has 5 metal pins inside and a small LED light on the outside.
The USB-C connector is a little longer and has 14 pins, which is more than normal connectors – meaning it also has some chips inside.
There’s no reinforcement design on either side of the cable, but the cable is 2 meters long and weighs about 58 grams.
When we tested this cable with Apple’s 140W charger on a MacBook Pro (16-inch), charging reached 140W – really fast! This shows how important the Magsafe 3 charger Macbook Pro cable is for achieving fast charging speeds.
The MagSafe 3 charger Macbook Pro connector can be easily connected from either side — it connects right away, without any confusion.
Let’s cut the cable open and examine its interior.
First, we find a woven layer, inside which is a TPE layer. Then there are two shielding (covering) layers that run in different directions.
Inside this, we find some wires – some for power and some for control signals.
When we separate them, we find:
4 red wires (positive)
1 white wire (negative)
2 orange, 2 silver, and 1 blue thin wires (signal/control)
These wires are wrapped in a spiral. Flat copper foil is wrapped over the thin wires, and another wire is also added for strength.
Now let’s move on to the USB-C connector.
After removing the plastic, it turns out that this connector is covered with a metal shell, and is tightened with spot welding.
Inside is a PCB (circuit board), which has several chips installed – some of which are Apple’s custom chips.
There is also a MOSFET chip installed that controls the power.
The red wires are for power, and a small wire is for the signal.
The white and blue wires are also installed in their specific positions.
Then we opened the MagSafe 3 connector…
There is a lot of glue inside it – very tight!
When we remove the glue, we find 2 LED indicators that are on both sides.
A chip and an inductor are also visible.
When flipped, resistors, capacitors, and a few other chips are also visible.
So that was a complete teardown of the MagSafe 3 cable.
In terms of quality, this cable is very good — the feel is good, the design is also sturdy.
This cable is like a normal PD to DC cable, but it also adds the communication features of USB PD 3.1 — making it compatible with various PD chargers.
The structure inside is quite complex, and most of the chips are customized by Apple.
If you want the best charging experience for your MacBook Pro, using the original Magsafe 3 charger Macbook Pro cable is essential.

Magsafe 3 adapter for macbook pro
Have you ever wondered how quickly your MacBook Pro charges from zero to 100 percent? And does the MagSafe 3 adapter for MacBook Pro really make a difference?
Today we’ll put that same question to the test — charging the MacBook Pro with two different power adapters: a 35W charger and a 96W MagSafe 3 adapter.
35W Adapter – Slow and Patient Charger
We first used Apple’s 35-watt dual port adapter. We turned off the MacBook Pro completely, then plugged in the charger and set a timer. The screen was on so we could see the progress.
Charging speed? Quite slow!
15 minutes → 10%
30 minutes → 20%
1 hour → 41%
2 hours 12 minutes → 90%
It took about 3 hours to reach 100%!
If you’re short on time, this charger won’t do the trick.
MagSafe 3 Adapter for MacBook Pro – Really Makes a Difference!
Now we used Apple’s 96W MagSafe 3 adapter, which is specifically designed for heavy-duty laptops like the MacBook Pro.
And the truth is? The charging experience has completely changed!
6 minutes → 10%
16 minutes → 25%
33 minutes → 50%
53 minutes → 75%
1 hour 56 minutes → 100%
That’s about an hour less time to fully charge!
Conclusion: MagSafe 3 Adapter is a Smart Investment
If you have a MacBook Pro and often want to charge quickly while working, the MagSafe 3 adapter for MacBook Pro is a smart choice. It not only saves time but also benefits long-term performance.
While the 35W adapter is fine for general browsing or light usage, the MagSafe 3 adapter is a real game-changer for heavy tasks and fast charging.
If you’re looking for a fast and reliable charger for your next trip, office, or college, be sure to add the MagSafe 3 adapter for MacBook Pro to your list.

MacBook Pro – A Brief and Interesting Look
So guys! Here’s the new MacBook Pro — let’s take a look around so you can see all the ports and features.
First up is a charging port that supports the latest MagSafe 3 technology. Next up is a Thunderbolt port, which looks like USB-C but is more powerful. What’s more, there’s a headphone jack, which isn’t found on many laptops these days — a welcome addition.
Then we have the HDMI port, which is very useful, as well as another Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C port. Finally, there’s the SDXC card slot, which is very useful for photography enthusiasts because it lets you easily insert your own memory card, without the need for an additional adapter. It’s great that Apple has added this slot back, which was removed from the iMac.
In terms of design, the top of the laptop is neither too thin nor too thick — a perfectly appropriate and elegant style. There are ventilation slots on the back to help keep the laptop cool.
As soon as you open the MacBook, it automatically turns on. On the right side, we find Touch ID, which acts as a fingerprint scanner as well as the power button — if you want to force shut down, just hold it down.
The keyboard is standard and comfortable, while the trackpad is quite large and attractive, feeling larger than on other laptops. There are speakers on the sides, and on the top is an HD webcam — perfect for FaceTime, etc.
Finally, we forced shut down the Mac because we didn’t want to set it up right away.
And that’s it! That was a complete and easy introduction to the MagSafe 3 charger MacBook Pro and its ports.
